Osteoporosis in Menopause

Every year, billions of women who are in the condition of menopause suffers with various disease related to liver, kidney, heart and even bones. The bone disease that is very famous among these women is Osteoporosis, a health condition, where the bones become very weak and fragile and easily breakable. The many examples of Osteoporosis in Menopause say that women in this condition need an extra healthcare through proper Calcium and Mineral intakes.

In women, the condition of menopause is whilst the body discontinues having periods for life. In this stage, the female hormones that process menstruation and the ovaries that discharges eggs for fertility stops working. This method works slowly when a woman gets late or less menstruation and later, no menstruation discharges. The condition of a menopause comes in different times in different women. Mainly, this stage comes in the age of 45 to 50. In some cases, the whole method of menopause works for years. Though this condition is natural but can also occur due to some severe health conditions and medications like intestine diseases, surgery, radiation treatments and chemotherapy. The condition of menopause occurs in three steps, in the first step the body gets unbalanced menstruation, the second stage is when the menstruation entirely stops. The third step is called the post-menopausal stage. Estradiol, Estriol and Estrone are the three types of estrogen that are been generated in a woman body.

In the whole vigorous reproductive system, the hormone ‘estrogen’ plays a very important role. This is essential for a normal sexual development in female like nurturing the vagina, uterus, the fallopian tubes and other parts. It also preserves a proper menstruation cycle and also the pregnancy. Therefore, in the stage of menopause the ovaries also stop the production and releasing of estrogen. At the same time, the other parts of the body produce the estrogen however; the quantity of creation is very little. It shows the strong possibilities of having  Osteoporosis  in Menopause.

When a menopausal woman starts loosing estrogen, within 5 to 15 years, this starts affecting the bones. The less amount of estrogen or lack of estrogen leads the osteoclasts to soak up the bones. The cells that produces the bones do not get a proper support construct more bones and renovate the old ones and a woman gets a severe loss of bone collection.

A healthy diet full of Calcium, Vitamins, Magnesium and other important Vitamins is always required to stop  Osteoporosis  in Menopause.  The women who are in menopausal conditions should also take extra oral supplements Vitamin D, K and B12 in addition to Magnesium and Calcium supplements. They should also maintain a balanced exercise or body workouts on a daily basis. The World Health Organization also refers Estrogen Replacement Therapy as a proper treatment of bone loss in the menopausal woman. Menopause in a woman can also lead to various hormonal imbalances. In this case doctors always suggest a Hormone replacement therapy. A proper Hormone replacement Therapy helps to revamp the blood vessels and the thickness of bones.
